Mozilla Firefox 0.9.1

Mozilla.org has released Mozilla Firefox 0.9.1. This release is to fix a few bugs before the 1.0 release, and Firefox 0.9.1 has a new default theme again. I like the Winstripe 2.0 theme much beter than the orignal Winstripe 1.0 release.

Summer Times

Summer is a very lazy time for me. I do nothing, unless I have to. Perfect example, my blog. I haven't updated it since last week. Why? I am lazy (and I forgot to). Some news... Mozilla.org has releaced Mozilla 1.7 with some new features, and bugfixes, but just the normal Mozilla 1.x release. And rumors are that a new Netscape 7.2 will be released upon the Mozilla 1.7 branch.
On to another topic...
[rant]I hate AIM 5.5. My sister went and "upgraded" our to the new spyeare filled, bloaded AIM, even after I told her not to. She "upgraded" to 5.5 yesterday after about a year of happily using AIM 5.1. I liked AIm 5.1, it has eveything I needed and nothing I didn't and plus DeadAIM 3.2.1 works with it, it dosen't work with AIM 5.5. My sister went and downloaded the "update", and after she did the computer frooze up. I restared the PC and then I tried to access the Control Panel it frooze up unce again. Another restart. I finally got the AIM 5.5 uninstalled. I then restarted the computer once again and ran Spybot SD, a very good spyware removal program and that removed Wild Tangent, the spyware in AIM that allows users to play games with others through AIM. I finally reatarted my PC installed AIM 5.1 and DeadAIM 3.2.1 (both avalable from OldVersion.com) and now my PC is running like it was, fast, which is good. I recomend any one using AIM 5.5 on the PC to downgeade to AIM 5.2 or lower, and remove AIM 5.5 and all of it's nasty spyware using a spyware removel tool, such as Spybot SD.[/rant]

Firefox 0.9

Firefox 0.9 has been releaced by Mozilla.org. Although I have been using it for only one day, that isn't enough time to test it throughly, but my first impressions were Firefox is still unfinished. The reason why, it is still pre 1.0 relese, and it still has many bugs, but it is comming together. Firefox 0.9 has new features such as the theme and extention mamager. Firefox also has a new theme called Winstripe.

I am also still waiting for Mozilla 1.7 to be releaced, as that is what Firefox 0.9 is based upon.

Bored

Well, I have nothing to do today, like normal over the summer. I am just sitting on my lazy butt in front of the computer, doing nothing. And I can't go anywhere because my town is boring and there is nothing here to do. I have been checking Mozilla.org for the new releaces of Mozilla 1.7 and Firefox 0.9, which were scheduled to be releaced today(20040614). I have tested Mozilla 1.7 RC3 and it is the fastest Seamonkey build have tested at startup and loading pages, and it was very stable. I can't wait for the final releases of Mozilla 1.7 and Firefox 0.9.

Cable Modem

My Suscom cable modem service keeps cutting out, and it is making me mad. It cut out twice, one of the times when I was posting in my blog, each time for about ten minutes. Although the cable TV service didn't go out I am still mad. In other news, Google sent me three Gmail invites, but the question is, who will I give them to.

Updates

Wow, it has almost been a year since an update. I almost forgot I had this blog. Sorry for not updating this for a while. I am happy, yesterday I finally got "invited" to get Gmail. Yay for 1000 MB (1GB) of email. And school ended Tuesday, so summer has unofficaly started for me.
